Resveratrol and NAD-related ingredients appear together in many longevity supplements. Combining them does not establish that the finished product works better than either ingredient alone.
The label may contain NR, NMN, or direct NAD plus resveratrol, quercetin, TMG, or other compounds. Compare the complete formula rather than treating “NAD plus resveratrol” as one standardized product.

Why are they sold together?
Manufacturers connect the ingredients through proposed metabolic and cellular-signaling pathways. That is a rationale for research, not proof of a patient benefit. Life Extension's combined product, for example, contains NR and several additional constituents; its label should not be confused with a bottle containing only direct NAD.
Is pterostilbene the same as resveratrol?
No. They are related compounds but have different identities and evidence. A trial of NR plus pterostilbene is not a trial of NR plus resveratrol. Safety and metabolic findings for one combination should not be quietly transferred to another. This is relevant when comparing Elysium Basis with resveratrol-containing formulas.
What do combination trials establish?
A study of NR plus pterostilbene measured NAD-related changes in humans. That does not isolate the contribution of each ingredient or prove longer life. A separate pterostilbene trial examined metabolic parameters, illustrating why added ingredients deserve their own review rather than being treated as harmless extras.
Elysium Basis combines NR with pterostilbene rather than resveratrol; its original trial also reported lipid findings that deserve context.
Can you add collagen or another longevity blend?
Review the complete regimen first. A collagen powder may itself contain vitamins or an NAD precursor, so stacking products can duplicate ingredients. There is no general rule that NAD plus collagen improves skin or that a larger supplement stack is more effective. See skin and hair claims for the evidence questions.
What should you ask before buying?
Request the amount of each active ingredient, the study supporting the exact finished formula, and the full recurring cost. Check whether a proprietary blend hides quantities that matter to your decision. The Life Extension review and Thorne review describe concrete formula differences without treating added ingredients as an automatic advantage.
