NAD+ IV therapy delivers a preparation through a vein under clinical supervision. It is commonly marketed as a drip or infusion; it is not a blood transfusion.
Direct delivery into the bloodstream does not establish improved longevity, memory, or energy. Before booking, understand the exact preparation, clinical oversight, expected cost, and what evidence supports the goal you have in mind.

What happens at an appointment?
A service should explain its medical evaluation, who places and monitors the IV, what is in the bag, and how it handles symptoms. Ask whether the advertised session includes consultation and follow-up. There is no single appointment length that applies to every preparation or patient, so get the expected time from the treating team rather than a generic protocol.
What has been studied?
The 2019 Grant pilot examined metabolic changes during NAD+ infusion. It was small and was not designed to demonstrate broad wellness or anti-aging benefits. A 2026 retrospective pilot compared IV tolerability involving NAD+ and NR; retrospective observations do not replace a randomized efficacy trial. Neither source establishes that a particular local clinic will deliver a promised result.
What if an infusion feels uncomfortable?
Tell the supervising clinician promptly about symptoms rather than assuming discomfort means the treatment is working. Ask before treatment who can assess a reaction and what circumstances require stopping or urgent care. FDA has reported serious reactions associated with injectable NAD+ products and raised sterile-compounding concerns. Our side-effect guide discusses those reports without attributing them to every provider.
A specific “detox” promise needs a separate assessment. Read NAD and alcohol withdrawal before treating a wellness infusion as a substitute for medical withdrawal care.
Clinic versus mobile IV service
A home visit still requires appropriate prescribing, product sourcing, monitoring, and an emergency plan. Convenience does not answer those questions. Check the clinician and pharmacy with the relevant state boards. Find your area, then use the clinic-selection guide to evaluate individual businesses rather than treating a map listing as verification.
What should the quote include?
Ask about the ingredient amount, number of visits, evaluation fees, travel fees, cancellation rules, and whether other ingredients are bundled. Compare the whole planned course, not one advertised starting price. NAD costs and home injections explain the different expenses and responsibilities across routes.
